We produced Henry Kendall Gardens Bellbird Tales for the editor, Pam Da Costa. It is a quick snapshot of the lives of some of the residents who live in Henry Kendall Gardens, who came from all over the world, and who participate in the day to day life of the village.
The inspiration for this collection of stories of the residents in the village was Alan Hodges’ wonderful history of the making of the Henry Kendall Gardens (formerly Village), but with the realisation that it is not only the buildings that make a community, but the people who live in it.
The villagers have come from different eras, varied backgrounds, with diverse experiences and all sorts of skills to make them the people they are today. And they all have a story to tell …
